Job Description

Are you a resilient HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high energy environment?

We're looking for an HR Operations Manager who's not just process-savvy - but people-smart. If you're ready to lead with empathy, adapt quickly, and make confident decisions in a dynamic setting, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

As our HR Operations Manager, you'll lead a small but might HR team, delivering high-quality, people-focused support across the employee lifecycle. From complex employee relations to onboarding, compliance, and coaching, you'll be the go-to expert for practical, compassionate and operationally aware HR guidance. This isn't a role for someone who needs a rigid rulebook. We're legally compliant, and committed to fair treatment, but we're not bound by process. We value judgement and people over process.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing the HR team to deliver responsive, effective support.
  • Manager ER cases with fairness, empathy, and sound judgement.
  • Supporting managers with practical HR advice and coaching.
  • Driving continuous improvement in HR practices and service delivery.
  • Designing and delivering manager essential skills training.
  • Building trusted relationships across the business.

What We're Looking For

Formal HR qualifications are nice to have, but not a necessity; practical experience and a pragmatic and values-led approach are more important. But we are looking for:

  • Proven, recent HR advisory experience in a fast-paced, pragmatic environment.
  • Strong operational awareness and the ability to balance people needs with business and operational priorities.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Confidence in managing complex ER cases and influencing people decisions.
  • Team management potential whether you've led a team before or are ready to step up.

You'll be part of a business that moves fast, thinks big, and puts people at the heart of everything. This environment can be full-on, it's not for everyone - but if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Work-life balance is important to use and we want you to spend time with your family, friends and doing things you enjoy - not just work. This is why we give you 30 days annual leave plus an additional 22 days off across the year, and still earn a full-time salary. Additionally, you will also have access to:

  • A subsidised staff restaurant serving breakfast and lunch at a reduced cost.
  • Our discounted staff purchase scheme on over 4,000 products.
  • Enhanced family friendly policies
  • Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme
  • Internal Mental Health First Aiders
  • Employee Assistance Programme including external mental health support and retail discounts.
