Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Immediate Start Available)
Are you a CIPD-qualified leader ready to shape the future of a major manufacturing site?
Brown Brothers Manufacturing is seeking a confident, people-focused HR Manager to lead our site's HR function. This isn't just a role for a "process manager", it is a role for a strategic partner who thrives in the high-intensity, fast-paced environment of FMCG and manufacturing.
With over 500 employees at our Kelloholm site, you will be the driving force behind workplace excellence, working closely with the Group HR Projects Manager to roll out a suite of exciting new initiatives.
The Strategic Agenda: Projects & InnovationYou will take the lead on critical site-wide upgrades and cultural shifts, including:
- Systems Evolution: Managing the transition and optimisation of Tensor and Mitrefinch to ensure world-class data integrity.
- Professional Growth: Launching and embedding our brand-new Personal Development Programme (PDP).
- L&D Strategy: Supporting the Group HR Projects Manager in developing and delivering bespoke training modules across the site.
- Employee Relations: Acting as the lead on disciplinary, grievance, and welfare cases, ensuring a fair and consistent culture.
- Performance Management: Driving the site-wide Performance and Development Review cycle to increase engagement and output.
- Data & Payroll Integrity: Ensuring 100% accuracy in staff records and Time & Attendance (T&A) data to facilitate seamless payroll.
- Compliance & Safety: Collaborating with Health & Safety teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive working environment.
- Organisational Design: Providing Group-wide HR support and contributing to the wider business strategy.
You will lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated on-site team of five:
- 2 x HR Administrators
- 1 x HR Graduate
- 1 x Talent & Recruitment Specialist
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 7 (Advanced Diploma) is preferred; however, candidates currently working towards this with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Industrial Relations: Experience of working with trade unions
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years in HR Management, ideally within the Manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Systems Savvy: Exceptional data management skills. You must be proficient in HRIS software and possess a strong attention to detail regarding Time & Attendance systems.
- Proactive Mindset: A "people-first" leader who can operate autonomously and handle the pressures of a 500+ headcount operation.
