Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview

The HR Manager will oversee and drive all aspects of HR across the business, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, learning & development, and culture building. This role is critical in ensuring Scrumconnect remains an exceptional place to work, with people at the heart of everything we do.

You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership while also being hands-on in implementing HR practices that support our growth and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries.

    • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.

    • Implementing and managing performance management systems, including setting up KPIs, regular performance reviews and employee development plans.

    • Employee relations: Handling employee relations issues such as grievances, disciplinary procedures and mediating conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Manage end-to-end recruitment alongside hiring managers.

    • Develop innovative strategies to attract and retain top digital and tech talent.

    • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction experiences.

  • Policy, Compliance & Systems

    • Ensure HR policies are up to date with UK employment law and best practice.

    • Oversee HR systems, contracts, and data compliance (GDPR).

    • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

    • Ensuring the company complies with UK employment laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.

  • Learning & Development

    • Partner with leadership to identify training needs and career development pathways.

    • Introduce learning programmes that align with individual growth and company goals.

    • Compensation and benefits: Managing payroll and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

  • Strategic HR Leadership

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.

    • Contribute to workforce planning and organisational development.

    • Support in building a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • CIPD Level 5 (essential) or Level 7 (desirable).

  • Proven HR generalist experience within the UK (7+ years).

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.

  • Experience in a fast-growing or consultancy/tech environment desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, approachable, and solutions-focused mindset.

Where you'll work

Your working time at Scrumconnect will be split between multiple locations, including from our HQ and hub locations, client site or home. Travel requirements vary in frequency and take into account requirements of your work, our clients and the team.
