The vacancyThe Pension Protection Fund's main purpose is to provide compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer, and where there are insufficient assets in the pension scheme to cover the Pension Protection Fund level of compensation.

We are seeking an HR Business Partner to join our busy, close-knit HR team. Reporting to the Head of HR, the Business Partner will provide guidance, advice, coaching, and hands-on support to managers across designated business areas, focusing on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
This role involves both strategic and operational business partnering activities. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of people plans for assigned directorates, working with recruitment partners to identify resourcing needs and emerging talent, supporting cyclical people activities (such as salary and bonus reviews, talent and succession planning, engagement surveys), and collaborating with the Head of Organisational Development on learning, coaching, and employee relations. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including Senior Leadership teams, is essential. The role is supported by an HR Co-ordinator, with some administrative duties involved.
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified, with comprehensive generalist HR experience, including employee relations, preferably within the financial services industry. A good understanding of current employment law and best practices is required. A logical, flexible approach to problem-solving is essential. Experience in producing MI reporting is advantageous but not mandatory.
