IDRecruitment are working with a leading manufacturing company located inCastlebar, Mayo to recruit a HR Business Partner to join their growing HR Team.This newly created position will undertake a broad range of HR and EH&Srelated responsibilities and will work closely with the wider HR Team andreport to the HR Manager onsite.
In the role, you will be responsible for the consistent drafting,application of our policies, processes, and guidelines in line with Irishlegislation, working closely with employees from all departments. You willconduct both administrative and strategic responsibilities.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may beassigned.
- Act as a right hand to the HR Manager. Lead and manage HR/EH&Sfunctions within HR, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and managers,collaborating with them to understand their needs, challenges, and goals,provide tailored HR and EH&S solutions and support.
- Coach managers and leaders to manage & develop their teams and handleHR/EH&S issues appropriately and effectively.
- Partner with leaders and managers to ensure effective PerformanceManagement/Probation processes are followed through effective goal setting foreach department and individual based on strategic business goals. Ensureeffective and timely Performance Reviews are carried out by all managersconsistently across all functions.
- Work closely with leaders and managers to align HR and EH&Sstrategies and initiatives with the organization's overall business objectivesand goals. Facilitate programs that enhance employee engagement and well-being.
- Act as a consultant on all employee relations matters. Reviewingchallenges, creating a plan for resolution and ensuring the plan is followedthrough to completion. Oversee appropriate investigation and/or disciplinaryprocedures.
- Keep up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as otherlegal requirements to direct the creation, interpretation, and application ofHR policies throughout the facility.
- Maintain company policies and ensure people managers are following HRpolicies for example with Time & Attendance Management,Performance/Probation Management.
- Proactively research, evaluate new trends, propose and implement bestpractices in HR and EH&S to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ongoingreview our current HR/EH&S/Performance Management Processes to continuallyimprove, streamline and align globally where possible.
- Work with HRL and HR Team in Castlebar to effective plan and lead HR& EH&S projects aimed at driving organizational change, improving HRprocesses, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting business growth toincluding, planning, implementation & communications in relation toprojects.
- Oversee the payroll and benefits administration for Castlebar inconjunction with the HR team. Support with the compensation/merit reviewprocess for Castlebar.
- In conjunction with the HR Manager, regularly review employee benefits toensure we remain competitive.
- Work with the HR Team to ensure HR Data is accurate and up to date on allrelevant HR systems (Currently Paylocity & Softworks) in line with GDPR.Utilize HR analytics and metrics to develop HR initiatives that address gapsand capitalize on opportunities and also to identify trends and insights.
- Assist with GDPR activities, including policies and training, and ensureHR data is managed within the requirements of the HR Department, GDPR &Data Protection legislation.
- BSc in Human Resources and/or Employment Law qualification or a relevantdiscipline.
- 3-5 years' experience within a HR Strategic/Leadership role, ideallywithin a multinational progressive organization with a proven reputation forworking in a demanding and competitive environment. Experience in HR businesspartnering with ownership for a business area.
- A thorough knowledge of Employment Law, practices and their application,with a proven track record in dealing with employee relations issues.
- Experience in EH&S is an advantageous but not an essential.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders.
- Strong team player with the ability to engage and influence.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong IT proficiency and administrative skills.
