Are you ready to make a significant impact and drive change within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? We are recruiting an HR Business Partner to provide maternity cover for 12 months, supporting our Insurance Division. This is your opportunity to join us at an exciting time in our growth journey, and you will help shape the future of our business by working closely with leaders.

This role is office-based with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office), located in Basingstoke, Tunbridge Wells, or London, with regular travel to these sites.

What will I be doing?
  • Driving transformation and change, particularly within the Insurance division, which is undergoing significant transformation.
  • Building strong partnerships by developing and maintaining relationships with business areas to identify current and future people requirements.
  • Leading the delivery of the people plan, ensuring alignment with the overall HR strategy.
  • Providing expert consultancy on reward & recognition, organisation design, employee relations, succession planning, talent management, change programmes, performance management, employee engagement, TUPE, acquisitions, and training & development.
  • Encouraging the adoption of HR best practices and supporting effective people management.
  • Partnering with leadership teams to influence thinking, provide challenge, and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Contributing to strategic plans aimed at reducing attrition, improving engagement, and enhancing employee retention.
  • Maintaining proactive and engaging communication with employee representatives and union officials.
What do I need?

Capability, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in generalist HRBP roles, preferably within a large blue-chip organisation.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and experience partnering with leaders to influence and implement business change.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of employment law.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering HR initiatives within budget and deadlines.
  • Experience in building and managing union relationships.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments such as SMCR and FCA.
  • Ability to steer business leaders and drive organisational change with an outcome-focused approach.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Professional CIPD Qualification (essential).
