HR Business Partner 18 Month FTC

We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused HR Business Partner to join a high-performing team on an 18 month fixed-term contract. This role will partner closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders to shape and deliver a seamless employee experience within a fast-paced professional services environment. It will have a particular focus on supporting business transformation initiatives, change programmes, and M&A activity, including acquisitions, integrations, and organisational design projects.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with senior leaders and client groups to develop and implement people strategies that align with business objectives, supporting growth, performance, and employee engagement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability issues.
- Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, business transformation programmes, workforce planning, and culture change projects.
- Play a key role in M&A activity, supporting due diligence, harmonisation, organisational design, and the successful onboarding of acquired teams.
- Manage annual compensation review processes and benchmarking activities, ensuring a fair, consistent, and market-informed approach.
- Produce and analyse HR data, metrics, and management information, identifying trends and translating insights into practical recommendations and actions.
- Oversee recruitment activity within designated business areas, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Finance on resource planning, workforce forecasting, and hiring priorities.
- Collaborate closely with HR Operations, Leadership Development, and wider HR colleagues to deliver an exceptional HR service and contribute to a high-performance culture.
- Lead and contribute to a range of strategic HR projects, driving continuous improvement and supporting the firm's evolving business needs.
- Solid experience as an HR Business Partner is essential preferably within a financial or professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with experience handling complex employee relations issues
- Experience managing change initiatives, delivering on projects and exposure to M & A activity would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
- Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights
