Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused HR Business Partner to join a high-performing team on an 18 month fixed-term contract. This role will partner closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders to shape and deliver a seamless employee experience within a fast-paced professional services environment. It will have a particular focus on supporting business transformation initiatives, change programmes, and M&A activity, including acquisitions, integrations, and organisational design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leaders and client groups to develop and implement people strategies that align with business objectives, supporting growth, performance, and employee engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability issues.
  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, business transformation programmes, workforce planning, and culture change projects.
  • Play a key role in M&A activity, supporting due diligence, harmonisation, organisational design, and the successful onboarding of acquired teams.
  • Manage annual compensation review processes and benchmarking activities, ensuring a fair, consistent, and market-informed approach.
  • Produce and analyse HR data, metrics, and management information, identifying trends and translating insights into practical recommendations and actions.
  • Oversee recruitment activity within designated business areas, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Finance on resource planning, workforce forecasting, and hiring priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Operations, Leadership Development, and wider HR colleagues to deliver an exceptional HR service and contribute to a high-performance culture.
  • Lead and contribute to a range of strategic HR projects, driving continuous improvement and supporting the firm's evolving business needs.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Solid experience as an HR Business Partner is essential preferably within a financial or professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with experience handling complex employee relations issues
  • Experience managing change initiatives, delivering on projects and exposure to M & A activity would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights
