Location: Colliers Wood, London
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9:00am to 5:30pm)
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000

About the Opportunity

An established healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced People Services Advisor to join its Head Office team in Colliers Wood.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, providing expert people advice, and supporting colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will join a busy and supportive People Services team, playing a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience across a multi-site organisation.

Working closely with managers and employees at all levels, the People Services Advisor will provide guidance on a broad range of people matters while contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes, engagement initiatives, and organisational performance.

The Role

The People Services Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Building strong and effective working relationships with employees and leaders across the organisation.
  • Providing professional, practical, and timely advice on a wide range of employee relations and HR matters.
  • Managing sickness absence reporting, analysing trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting and advising on investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance cases.
  • Managing parental leave and flexible working requests in line with policy and legislation.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new starters.
  • Contributing to employee engagement initiatives and organisational culture programmes.
  • Conducting exit interviews, identifying themes and trends, and providing insights to support retention strategies.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of HR-related training sessions.
  • Producing regular HR reports and key performance indicator data.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records across HR systems.
About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in a generalist HR advisory role, ideally gained over 5 years or more.
  • Experience working within a multi-site environment, such as healthcare, retail, logistics, or a similar sector.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and confidence handling a range of casework.
  • Experience using HR information systems, with knowledge of Workday and/or ADP being advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear and confident communication skills across face-to-face, telephone, email, and virtual channels.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (preferred).
Working Environment
  • Primarily office-based in Colliers Wood, London.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support training and business activities at other locations.
