Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Provide expert advice and guidance in line with HR practices and procedures.
- Manage employee relations cases such as performance and absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and conduct investigations when necessary.
- Coach managers on best practice, interpret UK employment law, and manage casework from start to finish.
- Deliver HR introduction training to new managers.
- Support occupational health referrals and maintain strong relationships with union and site representatives.
- Collaborate with the wider HR team on company and HR objectives.
- Provide support on change management, complex employee relations, and policy overhauls.
- Proven experience managing a varied and demanding employee relations caseload within a fast paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Experience providing expert advice and guidance to managers on policy interpretation and case management from start to finish.
- Experience supporting managers through organisational change initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and appropriately challenge stakeholders.
- Accountability for your own workload, with the ability to manage priorities independently and to escalate complex or high risk matters when needed.
- A proactive, solutions focused approach with the initiative to identify process improvements and resolve issues effectively.
- Experience delivering HR training sessions or workshops.
- Strong organisational skills, with experience maintaining accurate case logs, tracking absence data, and prioritising project work.
- Commitment to your own professional development, actively seeking opportunities to build capability and knowledge.
- Experience working within a unionised environment is highly advantageous.
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification is preferred, or equivalent experience.
