The Role

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our growing team. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business while driving a positive and compliant workplace culture.

This is a varied generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, training, and HR operations, with responsibility for delivering high-quality HR support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management
  • Manage absence cases, including long-term sickness and return-to-work processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant working environment
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly roles
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisionsIssue contracts and onboarding documentation
  • Ensure compliance with right-to-work requirements and onboarding processes
Training & Development
  • Deliver induction and onboarding programmes
  • Support ongoing employee training and development initiatives
  • Track new starter progress at 30, 60, and 90 days
  • Maintain training records and skills matrices
HR Projects & Systems
  • Support HR systems (UKG) and ensure data accuracy
  • Analyse HR data and trends (e.g., absence, turnover, ER cases)
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes
  • Support ESG and community engagement activities
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a generalist HR role (minimum 2 years)
  • Knowledgeable in UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident handling employee relations cases
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable
  • Experience in FMCG/manufacturing is advantageous

Additional Information

This role is primarily office-based in Bridlington. As part of a 24/7 manufacturing operation, occasional flexibility outside standard hours may be required.
