Your RoleAs HR Admin Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all HR processes. You'll support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development while maintaining accurate records and compliance with employment legislation and college policies. Working closely with managers and colleagues, you'll help create a professional, inclusive workplace that supports excellent outcomes for staff and students.
Main Duties:- Support recruitment by managing adverts, applications, interviews, and communication with candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new starters, ensuring right-to-work checks and records (including the Single Central Record) are complete.
- Prepare contracts, update HR records, and maintain accurate employee files.
- Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing a friendly and professional service.
- Support ongoing checks such as DBS renewals, probation reviews, and appraisals.
- Assist with payroll administration and contract-related calculations.
- Keep HR systems up to date, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Help coordinate staff training, development activities, and related administration.
- Contribute to HR projects, such as wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Follow college policies on safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and data protection.
- Take part in CPD, training, and appraisal processes.
- Level 3 qualification (e.g., A Levels, BTEC) or equivalent administrative experience - Essential
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy - Essential
- CIPD qualification - Desirable
- Experience in HR administration, ideally within education - Desirable
- Familiarity with HR systems and recruitment platforms - Desirable

- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in all work.
- Organised, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
- Approachable, customer-focused, and supportive in all interactions.
Eligibilty:
- You must have the right to work in the UK without limitations. There is no sponsorship at this time.
- You must live within a 60 minute commute of Henley-On-Thames.
- You must be happy to work onsite full time, at this time the role is not remote.
- You must agree to provide any existing DBS check, and complete a new check before starting in the role.
