About the roleHaringey Council's housing delivery team and aftercare service is leading on the delivery of the Council's number one priority programme. Our programme covers a broad range of housing schemes, from small infill sites to large, complex development projects. With work underway or completed on over 2,000 homes and a pipeline of new schemes to progress we are looking for a person to oversee the engagement activities (including running consultation and engagement processes) essential to the programme as well as deliver the sales element for the new programme and support our aftercare service, a new team which is responsible for managing our new council homes for an initial period after our new tenants move into their properties. This is an exciting role within an ambitious and supportive team who are focused on delivering the first Council homes for a generation and providing our residents with real choice and opportunity.
About the teamOur housing delivery team and aftercare service is award-winning and has received various awards for housing delivery schemes including Inside Housing's 'Best Development Team - Urban, 2023' and the Municipal Journal ' Delivering Better Outcomes ' Award 2024. We have a team of 20 project management professionals supported by a team of technical specialists, engagement experts, housing officers and experienced council staff building the first council homes in a generation. Together, we play a vital role in supporting the company's operations and achieving its goals ensuring that the lived experience of our Tenants is best in class.
About youWe are looking for an Engagement manager to be part of our team. To coordinate and implement housing-related consultation and engagement for the Council's Council House Delivery Team, including overseeing the design, production and distribution of consultation materials. Lead on the development and management of a comprehensive, responsive and high-quality engagement team that informs and provides feedback to key stakeholders and residents, including promoting the achievements and responding to enquires about the Council Housing Delivery Programme, both in regard to new council home builds and the "for sale" aspect of the programme Above all, they must be motivated to join a high-achieving team that is committed to supporting one another in delivering successful projects
