We're seeking relief Housekeeper and Cook to complement our existing Sheltered Housing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible, rewarding role where they can make a real difference in the lives of older people.
About the RoleAs relief staff Housekeeper and Cook, you will take on a dual role, combining cooking and resident support responsibilities. You will directly impact the wellbeing of our residents by providing the support and care they need in a safe, nurturing environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and serve home cooked meals for residents, while maintaining food stock and ensuring proper rotation.
- Resident Support: Be the first point of contact for residents, offering a friendly face and support with their daily needs.
- Housekeeping: Ensure communal areas are clean, tidy, and well maintained, creating a comfortable environment for all.
- Wellbeing Promotion: Promote the overall wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they feel respected, empowered, and connected within our community.
- In line with your casual (bank) worker assignment agreement, we offer competitive pay that is benchmarked regularly, and in line with those of our employed staff in similar roles.

- And depending on how many hours you work, you will accrue leave at an equivalent rate of 31 days paid leave in a full calendar year, inclusive of bank/public holidays (pro rata).
- To carry out this role, you will be provided with mandatory training to get you started, as part of a comprehensive induction. To work for us in future assignments, you will be expected to keep your mandatory training up to date.
