Housekeeping Assistant - Nights/Unsocial Hours (Bank Contract)

Location: Glasgow Hospital - Nuffield Health, Scotland. Shift: Nights and unsocial hours; part time bank. Pay: £13.10 per hour.

Overview

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will keep clinical and non clinical areas clean, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare a range of hospital areas using standard procedures and power cleaning equipment.
• Apply IPC and best practice guidelines, maintain COSHH compliance.
• Work flexible shift patterns, often under pressure, as part of a team.
• Keep accurate records and report issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a current PVG status.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of IPC, COSHH and cleaning protocols.
• Good communication, friendly attitude, ability to plan and organise work.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Current PVG status.
