Contract: Permanent, Hourly Paid

Salary: £15.97 - £35.34 per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

The Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and practical Catering & Hospitality lessons that inspire learners and develop industry-relevant skills.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment programmes that meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students to achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance and awarding body requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Catering & Hospitality curriculum and support recruitment activities.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher status.
  • Relevant Catering qualification.
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Desirable.
Experience
  • Relevant professional experience within the Catering industry.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of teaching Catering programmes.
  • Understanding of current challenges and opportunities within the Catering sector.
  • Awareness of career pathways and progression opportunities within Catering & Hospitality.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues and employers.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging learning materials and deliver high-quality teaching.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to support positive learner behaviour.
  • Confidence in using digital technologies and learning platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
