About the Role

As a Partner on our service counters, you'll demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while promoting ethically sourced products. You'll bring the Waitrose ethos-passionate Partners serving food lovers-to life, build lasting relationships with customers, and contribute to a positive image of the brand. Your role will help maximise sales and profit. Night premium pay of £3.75 per hour applies to any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00, and also applies to existing Partners enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for your own food counter ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
• Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring the products customers love are available when needed.
• Take great care while working with open food and follow all due diligence and health & safety protocols.
• Help reduce food wastage.
• Maintain knowledge of new products and have a good understanding of Waitrose's food values (e.g., animal welfare).
• Support the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Experience of working in a catering / hospitality environment.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Contract Details

Pay: £13.00 (£13.25 After 90 days)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Part time, 19.5 hours per week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 05 00)
