Are you an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast paced, high profile environment? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high performing teams and driving operational excellence?

We're looking for a Hospitality Manager to play a key role in the day to day operation of Alexander Stadium. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll oversee hospitality, conferencing, catering, retail and food & beverage operations across both event and non event days, ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience.

From conferences and corporate events to major sporting fixtures and hospitality experiences, you'll lead from the front, driving service excellence, commercial performance and continuous improvement across one of Birmingham's most iconic venues.

What you'll be doing

As Hospitality Manager, you'll take ownership of the operational delivery of hospitality and catering services, ensuring every event runs seamlessly and every guest experience exceeds expectations. You'll:

  • Lead the day to day hospitality, conferencing, retail and food & beverage operations across event and non event days.
  • Plan and deliver exceptional hospitality experiences while ensuring high standards of service, presentation and operational excellence.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, grow revenue and maximise profitability.
  • Lead, motivate and develop your teams through coaching, performance management and succession planning, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team to deliver business objectives and long term operational strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to ensure outstanding service and successful event delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and company standards, proactively managing operational risk.
  • Analyse operational performance and produce regular reports to support informed business decisions.

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 37.5 hours per week

What can you bring?

We're looking for an inspiring hospitality professional who combines operational expertise with a passion for people and service excellence.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing hospitality, catering or food & beverage operations within a busy events, venue, hotel or contract catering environment.
  • A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing successful teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, controlling costs and delivering financial targets.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver multiple events and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, solution focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt in a fast paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of health & safety, food safety and operational compliance.
  • A genuine passion for delivering memorable customer experiences and driving continuous improvement.
