Hospice Kitchen: Cook & Catering Assistant

Salary Band 2 and Band 3 (enhanced rate at weekends)

Working as a cook you will provide all catering requirements in Evora and be responsible for ensuring that all standards of cooking are maintained in line with current legislation and guidance. This role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting nutritious well-balanced meals to all patients, staff, visitors, and others. When working catering assistant hours you will help to maintain high standards of food preparation, service, hygiene, and cleanliness.

Qualifications Required

• NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent and 1 year working at cooks' level

OR

• 3 years' experience at a cook's level

Self-Employed Medical Officers

• We are seeking to recruit Medical Officers for weekday, weekend and on-call sessions on a self-employed basis.
• Full GMC Registration, 2 years' full time equivalent experience post qualification, strong clinical knowledge and experience. Excellent communication skills.
• Ideally you will have experience in Palliative Medicine or Oncology but they are not essential as full training will be provided.

Palliative Medicine Consultant

The post holder will contribute to the enhancement of palliative care services for patients and their families by promoting high-quality, person-centered care, supporting effective end-of-life care planning, and advancing the development of integrated hospice and community-based palliative care services. In addition, the post holder will support the delivery of specialist palliative care education for both hospice staff and external stakeholders.

Staff Nurse

• We currently have a vacancy for a temporary staff nurse as well as day bank staff nurses.
• The successful candidates will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing holistic care to patients and their families. You will participate in the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients encompassing the Hospice philosophy of Specialist Palliative Care.
