Horticulture Lecturer

We are currently seeking an experienced Horticulture Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Rotherham on a temporary short term basis.

Role Details

• Position: Horticulture Lecturer
• Location: Rotherham
• Contract: Temporary until 23rd October 2026
• Teaching Hours: 29.5 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday)
• Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Rate: Competitive hourly rate

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Horticulture courses to Further Education learners.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Support and monitor student progress, providing guidance to help learners achieve their full potential.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall quality of teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements

• Teaching Qualification (TQ) or equivalent.
• Previous experience delivering courses within a Further Education setting.
• Relevant horticultural qualifications and/or industry experience.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
