Location: Stockton-on-Tees - Job Types: Full-Time & Part-Time - Salary: £95-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Smile Education is recruiting experienced and dedicated education professionals to join a number of welcoming primary schools across Stockton-on-Tees for September 2026.

We have the following vacancies available:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Year 2 (Full-Time)
• SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time
• SEN Teaching Assistant - Mornings Only

These are fantastic opportunities to join supportive school environments where you can make a real difference to children's education and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A recognised HLTA qualification (for the HLTA role) or relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications and experience.
• A minimum of 6 months' UK school experience.
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• A positive, proactive, and child-centred approach.

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Two years of professional references, including experience working with children.
• Availability to start in September 2026.
• Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for these positions.
