The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the school. You will play a key role in delivering interventions, supporting students both individually and in groups, and providing classroom cover when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects
• Delivering targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
• Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Assisting with planning and preparation of learning activities
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a HLTA qualification or has relevant experience in a similar role
• Has previous experience working within a school environment
• Is confident leading groups of students and covering lessons
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Can build positive relationships with students and staff
• Is organised, adaptable and proactive
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children's education and development
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs would be advantageous.
