Job Description

Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA qualified? Are you seeking a role where no two days are the same?

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for Level 3 Teaching Assistants and HLTA qualified individual to work in an Outstanding Primary school based in Lewisham to assist with general ad-hoc cover, general day-to-day classroom activities and occasional PPA cover.

The role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA

Pay rate: starting at £100 - £110 per day

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Location: Lewisham

Roles & Responsibilities:

To contribute to the development and adaptation of curriculum materials, ensuring they meet the needs of learners. To have good knowledge of the New Curriculum for Wales and support the implementation of lesson plans. Lead small group activities or provide one-to-one support to students, assisting with their learning. Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive environment. Work closely with the class teachers, offering input and support in planning and delivering lessons. Collaborate on the development and implementation of differentiated learning strategies. Provide additional support to students with special educational needs, including those with individualised education plans (IEPs). Assist in assessing and monitoring students' progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils.

The Ideal Candidate:

Has an Enhanced DBS on the update service (don't worry if not, we can help with this!) Has Level 3 or HLTA status Has experience as a TA/HLTA within a school environment Can commute to Lewisham

The successful candidate will:

The relevant Level 3 qualification Have a good understanding of child development and learning processes Knowledge of the relevant policies and legislation (safeguarding, inclusion, diversity and inclusion). Experience working with children in a learning environment Proficient in ICT to support learning

The post-holder will undertake a variety of responsibilities concerning supporting pupils, staff and the curriculum by assessing the needs of students and establishing working relationships.
