Location: Telford Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Contract: Full-time Term-time only Duration: Long-term, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate
Are you an experienced and passionate Nursery Lead looking for your next opportunity within a primary school?
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Nursery Lead to join a fantastic primary school in Telford on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced education professional who is confident taking responsibility for leading a nursery provision, planning engaging learning opportunities and supporting children to develop and thrive.
The Role- Leading and supporting the nursery provision within a primary school
- Taking responsibility for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Planning activities around children's individual needs, interests and stages of development
- Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development
- Monitoring and assessing children's progress and development
- Working closely with other members of the EYFS and wider school team
- Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
- Building strong and positive relationships with children, parents and staff
- Ensuring children are safe, happy and engaged throughout the day
- Taking a lead role within the nursery and providing guidance and support to other staff where required
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with the leadership team
Ideally, you will have:
- A minimum HLTA qualification
- Previous experience working within an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting
- Experience of leading, planning or taking responsibility for a nursery or early years provision
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A genuine passion for supporting young children and helping them reach their full potential
- A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Strong organisation and planning skills
