About the role
As a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) Functional Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the validation of innovative SW solutions for hybrid dual-clutch transmissions (DCT). Your expertise will contribute to cutting-edge solutions within the automotive industry, ensuring compliance with functional, performance, and safety standards.
The control strategies are developed by the Functional Design team according to the Model Based Development process (V-cycle) with Simulink. You will join the HIL team which is responsible to develop the HIL test platform and validate the SW.
Responsibilities
- Develop real time Simulation Models using Matlab/Simulink to do real time testing of integrated controllers using dSpace HIL bench
- Understand our existing dSpace HIL's and help to fix issues whenever problems occur and help to further develop the testbench for future needs
- Write test specifications from the requirements and develop test automation scripts to ensure 100% software test coverage
- Analyse the problems found during testing and align with Functional Design engineers how to resolve them
- Support HIL testing on the E/E vehicle integration testbenches of our customer
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Mechatronics, Controls, Electrical Engineering or similar
- 3+ years of work experience as HIL engineer in an automotive context
- Good experience on Interface Model Development for HIL Systems with dSPACE simulators
- Experience with a broad set of MathWorks products (including Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, EmbededCoder)
- Experience performing functional and nonfunctional tests for automotive components, subsystems or systems
- Experience in test design, test automation, debugging and reporting test cases
- Understanding the Hardware architecture of dSPACE mid-size and full size systems
- Ability to work with electronic test equipment to trace hardware / software integration problems
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (such as Bash, PERL, Python, Java).
- Experience with dSPACE Hardware-in the-Loop (HIL) test systems using Control Desk, RTICAN Messages
- Experience with Agile teams and familiarity with toolchains like Jenkins, JIRA, is an asset
