Highways Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of highways infrastructure, contributing to the improvement and expansion of transportation networks in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the field of highways engineering.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports on a variety of projects.
2. Provide assurance that scheme designs comply with specification and agreed programme.
3. Work to ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.
4. Ensure designs are assessed for environmental impacts.
5. Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties.
6. Coordinate with other team members associated with the design.
7. Support junior team members working on projects.

Candidate Profile:

1. Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
2. Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
3. Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
4. Competent in use of Civils 3D.
