Highways Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Highway Inspection team as a Full time, Permanent Highways Administrator. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum.

Role: Report to the Senior Highways Inspector and provide vital support to the team of Highway Inspectors. Assist with the day to day running of the inspection team through various applications and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with requesting, uploading and issuing utility searches (c2's).
  • Support the Council's Asset Management System (Confirm) by placing orders, closing enquiries and updating jobs raised by inspectors.
  • Manage the vehicle fleet, organising MOTs and handling any insurance issues.
  • Carry out administrative tasks such as managing customer complaints and FOI requests.
  • Help gather information to support insurance claims and other administrative duties including finance.

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and confidence using computer based systems.
  • Team focused attitude with pride in attention to detail.
  • Organised and flexible approach to managing workload.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deal confidently with colleagues and residents.
