- New Facilities: Recently relocated to a larger, refurbished Cardiac Investigation Unit, featuring new clinic rooms, admin spaces, and staff areas.
- Commitment to Development: A strong track record in supporting professional development, including exams, academic study, and representation at national and regional meetings.
As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will provide specialist cardiac rhythm management services, including device implantation, programming and follow-up, helping to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently managing follow-up of all Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) devices, including remote monitoring, and reprogramming devices in line with national and local guidelines.
- Supporting implantation of pacemakers (including leadless and conduction system pacing), ICDs (including S-ICDs) and CRT devices.
- Assisting the CRM Lead Cardiac Physiologist with service development and daily operations, including stock management, quality assurance, data submission and manufacturer advisories.
- Contributing to non-invasive cardiac investigations, including exercise testing, ambulatory monitoring and ECG services.
- Maintaining professional development by keeping up to date with emerging evidence, technology and national guidance, with support from the Trust.

About You:
- Fully Qualified and Accredited: BHRS (British Heart Rhythm Society), IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) or EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association) accreditation is essential.
- Highly Experienced in CRM: Demonstrable expertise in device implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting.
- Committed to Excellence: Passionate about delivering the highest standards of care to our patients.
- Team-Oriented: A collaborative professional who works well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of formal training/qualifications equivalent to Healthcare Scientist Practitioner degree level; including BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology
- BHRS/IBHRE/EHRA certification
- ILS certification
- RCCP/AHCS registration
- Demonstration of academic interest
- Significant independent CRM device experience including implant with autonomous reporting
- Significant experience across a broad range of cardiac diagnostic and intervention procedures
- Evidence of recent continued professional development
- Evidence of teaching
- Examples of service development
- Experience of audit and data reporting
- Experience of quality assurance processes
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work under own initiative, without direct supervision, and to manage own workload and that of others where appropriate
- Ability to oversee junior members of staff and guide training as appropriate
- Aptitude to work within small teams and wider multidisciplinary team
- Motivation to develop skills and embrace innovation
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
- Able to work under pressure in complex and emergency situations
- Able to work as part of a team to ensure the best outcome for the patient
- Ability to participate in on-call service
- Proficient in a wide range of IT systems including electronic patient records
