Location: Leicester Salary: £115 - £120 per day
Contract: Monday to Friday, term time only
Start Date: Immediate / ongoing

Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident education professional who can support classroom learning, lead activities and make a meaningful contribution to pupils' progress.

The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, working alongside teaching staff and providing high-quality support across the school.

The Role

• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Lead whole-class, small-group and intervention sessions when required
• Provide targeted support to pupils with different learning needs
• Help maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with lesson preparation and the implementation of learning activities
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive pupil engagement
• Work with teachers to monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development
• Step in to cover lessons or classes when required, in line with your experience and school expectations

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA within a school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across primary education
• Confidence leading activities and working with groups of children
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach
• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
