Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join ourHall Park family from 4th January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible, approachable team player who shares our commitment to helping every child thrive and making a positive contribution to our school community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across Nursery to Year 6, providing high-quality support for pupils and staff. Key duties include delivering PPA cover and undertaking short-term class cover when required. You will need to be confident leading whole-class learning and adapting your approach to meet the needs of children of different ages and abilities.

The role also includes responsibility for coordinating and developing our Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) provision. As OPAL Play Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of OPAL, working with the Senior Leadership Team to enhance our pupils' lunchtime play experiences through engaging, inclusive and creative opportunities.

Dedicated non-contact time will be provided to support both teaching and OPAL coordination responsibilities.

Working Hours and Contract
  • This is a permanent, term-time-only role starting on 4thJanuary 2027.
  • Four days per week
  • 3 days 8:45am to 3:45pm and until 5:00pm on Wednesdays for staff meetings
  • Attendance at three INSET days each academic year

Essential Qualifications
  • Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

  • Experience of working with children aged 3-11 years
  • Experience of working in a classroom environment
  • Experience of supporting pupils with a range of needs
