High-Level Teaching Assistant
ABOUT THE SCHOOLProspero Teaching is looking for a High-Level Teaching Assistant to join a diverse and welcoming primary school located in Abbey Wood, Greenwich. The school is a popular two-form entry mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff. This position is only open to qualified and experienced High Level Teaching Assistants who are happy to take on PPA Cover responsibility. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILSLocation - Abbey Wood, Greenwich
Position - High Level Teaching Assistant
Type of work - PPA Cover Supporting individuals and small groups, including interventions Supporting classroom management and inclusion
Start date - As soon as possible
End date - July 2026 with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27
Contract type - Full time, Long term
Rate of pay - GBP(Apply online only) per day (depending on experience)
Hours - 8:15am - 16:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
- - HLTA status or equivalent qualification
- - Minimum 1 year experience in a UK school
- - Experience delivering whole-class lessons during PPA cover
- - Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- - Strong behaviour management
- - Experience supporting pupils with SEN and EAL
- - Up-to-date Safeguarding training
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
