Job Description
Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking a rewarding nightshift role within a reputable commercial vehicle dealership? Our esteemed client in Widnes is recruiting a dedicated Nightshift HGV Technician to join their busy and professional team. This opportunity offers excellent earning potential and career progression within a well-respected organisation.
Benefits- Basic salary of £55,000 per annum, with earning potential exceeding £57,000 including overtime and bonuses
- Working Tuesday to Friday, night shifts from 8:30pm to 7:00am

- Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers
- Diagnose faults accurately and carry out testing procedures
- Perform effective, permanent repairs to minimise vehicle downtime
- Complete warranty, retail, and contract documentation efficiently and accurately
- Implement preventative maintenance procedures to reduce customer costs
- Support team members to ensure vehicle safety, compliance, and quality standards are maintained
- Maintain a high level of technical documentation and adhere to manufacturer guidelines
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of work methods and technical specifications through manufacturer training
- Full UK driving licence; an HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
- Organised, detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work night shifts from 8:30pm to 7:00am, Tuesday to Friday
