We're looking for talented HGV Technicians to maintain, diagnose, and repair our modern, well-invested fleet to the highest industry standards, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SHIFT PATTERN & LOCATION
We're recruiting a HGV Technician at our site in Barnsley on a:
Any 5 over 7 day rota
40 hours a week
Working between the hours of 6am and 10pm on a rotating day and back shift
HOURLY RATE & BENEFITS
Base rate between £18.47 - £22.30 depending on skills and experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a HGV Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our fleet runs safely, efficiently, and on time. As part of your role, you'll:
Keep our HGVs and trailers performing at their best through expert servicing and maintenance that meets the highest safety and performance standards
Use your technical expertise to accurately diagnose and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical faults
Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance with confidence, delivering effective first-time fixes that keep operations moving
Work to manufacturer guidelines, using the latest technology and best practices to maintain a reliable, efficient modern fleet
Maintain clear, accurate records of all work completed, supporting compliance, quality, and continuous improvement
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally, you'll have:
NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
HGV experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Class 1 license is desirable, but if you don't have it, we will support with this
