Are you a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Construction Plant Mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity Quality Recycling Ltd., a leading household waste and recycling company in the South East and Tipperary, Ireland, wants You to join our expanding team in Carrick-on-Suir!

As part of our continued growth, we're searching for a talented mechanic to ensure our fleet and machinery run at their very best. Whether you're an experienced mechanic seeking a new challenge or someone eager to bring their expertise to Quality Recycling Ltd, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Duties:
  • Maintain our modern fleet of HVG refuse vehicles, skip trucks, artics, trailers, and plant machinery in accordance with work specifications set out by manufacturer, ensuring each vehicle is inspected and serviced to strict schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Prepare fleet for CVRT and inspection using rolling road brake test equipment.
  • Ensure a clean working environment.
  • Be compliant with health, safety and environmental requirements.

This fleet is diverse and requires that you have a keen interest and willingness to learn.

Suitable candidates should have the following:
  • QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or equivalent)
  • Category B Drivers licence
  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • HGV drivers licence is beneficial but not essential.
  • Be familiar with diagnostic equipment; Xentry, Texa, etc.
  • Be flexible with duties including working overtime.
