HGV Class 2 Driver - Tramping / Distance Work
Location:Burton-upon-Trent (Branston area, DE14 3PD)
We are currently recruiting for a reliable, professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join an ongoing distance contract with our client based at their state-of-the-art site in Branston, Burton-upon-Trent.
Our client is a world-class leader in the manufacturing and distribution of premium industrial trade products and climbing equipment. - Monday to Friday (Days, 06:00 - 18:00):£15.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday (Nights, 18:00 - 06:00):£17.00 per hour
- Saturday (Flat Rate):£18.00 per hour
- Sunday (Flat Rate):£20.00 per hour
- Parking & Expenses:All vehicles are on a company SNAP account, meaning secure parking is fully paid for. No out-of-pocket expenses for you.
- Start Time:Early morning starts (typically around 04:00 AM).
- The Route:2-day runs covering nationwide long-distance deliveries to major trade sites such as B&Q, Wickes, and Huws Gray.
- Nights Out:This role requires 2 nights out per week (typically Monday and Wednesday nights).
- The Work:Delivering premium trade products. Please note this involves active handball and manual unloading of drops.
- The Equipment:You will be driving brand-new, top-spec vehicles fully equipped with air conditioning, a built-in fridge, and premium comforts for your nights out.
- A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- A current Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
- A good level of physical fitness to handle the manual drops.
- No more than 6 points on your licence (for insurance purposes-no DD/DR/CD codes).
- Reliability, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safe driving practices.
All candidates must pass a practical driving assessment on their first Monday, followed by a short introductory run to get you fully used to the route.
