HGV Class 1 Driver (4/4 Days) West Thurrock Service & Support

New business developments on the horizon are allowing us to recruit experienced HGV drivers. We are looking for drivers to be based from S&R Smith and Son, RM20 4EL.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days

Hours: Based on 12 hours per day - paid on an average of 3.5 shifts per week (182 shifts per annum / weeks). Hours are guaranteed only, hours may differ depending upon workload.

Rate: £15.67 per hour

Other bonuses: Early start bonus & night out allowance

The Role

• To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
• To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner

Ideally the candidates would meet the following requirements

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
