HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER Southampton SO40

HGV Driving Class 1 - £25 ph , Midday Starts onwards into Nights , Weekends availability .

Location: Southampton - SO40

Required

Valid Driving Licence , Valid DQC, Valid CPC
Minimum 2 year Of Class 1 with no more than 5 points
PPE (Yellow long sleeve hi-vis ,Gloves ,Boots ,Glasses-if required while driving )
Maximum 5 infringements in last 6 months
Trunking and trailer swaps , Depot to Depot , minimum handball involved
Flexibility , All-week availability, including weekends if needed , and the start times are predominantly afternoons , starting from Midday onwards .

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.

Duties

Operate a lorry for the safe transportation of goods to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record ( no more than 5 points and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements )
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service is essential.
