Our client established itself in 1946 as a full load steel haulier, but with local steel production falling in the 1980's, the company moved towards a more flexible groupage offering with the business expanding with the acquisition of the 3-acre Birley Vale site. They then became a shareholding member of the Palletline network in 1995, enabling the business to offer an even broader range of services to both new and existing customers. As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for trunking to RDC's and NDC's nationwide each evening Monday to Friday collecting pallets from a Palletline Distribution Centre before bringing back to the depot in Sheffield. No Handball as you will be loaded and unloaded by a forklift.

All drivers will be expected to carry out vehicle checks prior to deliveries and complete all paperwork in line with company guidelines.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: Earn £19.00 per hour for consistent night work with a reliable Monday to Friday schedule.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday night shifts with a consistent 18:00 start time or days starting 0500 - 0800 then finihsing around 8-10 hours depending on the amount of deliveries and driving hours, providing a reliable routine and steady weekly hours.

Experience & Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 1 Licence
• A Digital Tachograph Card
• Full UK CPC qualification
• No more than 6 penalty points
• To be considered, you should have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 12 months, giving you the experience and confidence to step straight into this role.
