Course Content:- IMI Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship
- Employer Rights & Responsibilities
- Functional Skills minimum Level 4 in Maths and English
You'll attend block release training at GTG Training, a modern facility with industry-standard equipment, where expert trainers will help you develop your technical skills and knowledge.
- Materials, fabrication, tools, and measuring devices used in the commercial vehicle environment
- Inspection of heavy vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units, including pneumatic braking systems
- Diagnosing and rectifying engine, transmission, and electrical system faults
- Commissioning and decommissioning high voltage systems on battery electric vehicles
- Ensuring health and safety standards
- Contributing to workplace housekeeping
To complete the apprenticeship, you must pass Level 2 English and Maths (or have an exemption certificate) and work towards this level before the end point assessment.
