Job Description

Job title: Heavy Lift Contractor Resource Manager

Location: Remote within UK

Contract length: 12 months rolling contract

Work Hour: 40 hours a week, 8hrs/day

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting a Heavy Lift Contractor Resource Manager working on behalf of a leading Energy services company.

You will be the single point of contact for all third-party technicians, ensuring seamless coordination of bedspace, vessel access, and late-change requests. You will prevent idle days, tighten control of supplier selection, onboarding, and compliance, govern rates, and oversee utilization, rotations, and timesheets/invoicing across multiple vendors and jurisdictions. This role will free up the core Resource Management team to focus on internal technicians.

Main tasks include:

  • Lead the selection and onboarding of third-party technicians.
  • Manage contractor compliance (certs, medicals, visas, HUET/GWO, PPE).
  • Govern contractor rates and ensure optimal utilization.
  • Coordinate bedspace and vessel access for contractors.
  • Manage contractor rotations and timesheets/invoicing.
  • Prevent idle days and smooth late-change requests.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure surge capacity.
  • Manage schedule volatility inherent in triple-ops and APAC mobilisations.

Requirements

  • Previous similar experience in contractor resource management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and jurisdictions.
  • Expert knowledge of contractor compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience managing complex projects and schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
