Position: Heat Pump Service Engineer
Location: Exeter, EX5 2DR (Fully paid travel from Exeter)
Hours: Full Time (Standard 40hrs a week)
Salary: £34,000 to £42,000.00 basic subject to experience

You'll join a tightly knit team of skilled engineers, respected for their technical excellence. We believe in doing things the right way. Your role will involve, fault finding, servicing and commissioning of heat pump systems, combining plumbing, electrical and refrigeration (Fgas) work, with the ability to assist on installations when required. Primarily across the South West.

What will your role look like?

You will join a team of mobile engineers based in Exeter, travelling to a variety of sites.
Your primary duties will include repairing and maintaining air source and ground source heat pumps.
The role involves a mix of work on all aspects of the heat pump, including Electrical, Plumbing, and Refrigeration.
Most of the work is residential, supplemented by a small number of commercial sites.
You will be working to ensure we continue to provide a superior service to excel against competitors.
Subject to expertise, we will provide additional training to ensure we offer a professional service as partners of Daikin, Mitsubishi, Nibe and Samsung.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in plumbing and heating systems: capable of working with pipe sizing, flow rates, manifolds, pumps, valves, unvented hot water and G3 certified.
Electrical knowledge: understanding wiring, control circuits, understanding of electrical safety, and ability to work to current edition wiring regulations.
F Gas certified: able to handle refrigerant safely and ideally have a hydrocarbon certificate and experience.
Fault finding and diagnostics: being able to diagnose across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and refrigeration elements of a heat pump system.
Understanding of system design: heat emitter matching, load calculation, thermal performance, energy efficiency.
Good understanding of regulations & compliance: Building Regs, MCS or equivalent, plumbing codes, electrical regs, health & safety.
A self-starter with a high standard of workmanship prepared to deliver an excellent service.
The ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the standard of your work.
A full UK driving license.

Weekday overtime paid at time and a half.
Weekend overtime paid at double time.
