The role
GlobalData Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated reporter to join our dynamic investigative Pharma Insights team. The successful candidate will keep a close eye on the many aspects of the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, including R&D, licensing opportunities, M&A, regulatory issues, reimbursement, litigation and general industry trends.
The candidate will join a team of healthcare reporters that focuses on reporting drug development, clinical trials, and outsourcing strategies. A key aspect of the job is working closely with GlobalData's researchers, and interviewing key opinion leaders, and 1-1 interviews with company executives. You will be using GD's comprehensive drug and clinical trial databases to build upon stories no one else is publishing. The position will be based in London.
The candidate will also get an opportunity to contribute to developing content for the B2B media websites (Pharmaceutical Technology, Medical Devices, Clinical Trials Arena, Hospital Management) and digital magazines) on an ad hoc basis. There will also be opportunities to report from industry and academic conferences throughout the year.
The candidate should have a journalism background and relevant interest or experience covering the biopharmaceutical industry and drug development. Financial and pharma technology exposure is ideal.
This is a demanding but extremely rewarding job for journalists who are driven to dig into the science and data to build a compelling story.
