Introduction

We're partnered with BAE Systems, a leading organisation in the Defence sector, to help them find a HSE Associate with Construction experience to join their local team on a 12 month contract.

You'll play a hands-on role in a high profile Defence project, protecting people and promoting a positive safety culture across complex construction sites. If you're NEBOSH qualified and ready to make a real impact in a safety-first environment, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As an SHE Associate, you'll play a key role in promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, and environmental compliance.

Supporting a range of construction projects, you'll deliver expert guidance and practical support to site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to help make sure that work is delivered safely, responsibly and in line with BAE Systems' policies and industry regulations.

You'll carry out detailed site inspections and audits, review Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and support teams in identifying and mitigating risk. This is a proactive, people-focused role where you'll help enhance the safety culture across sites, advising on best practice and legislative changes.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed, you'll have:

Significant work experience in a Construction Health & Safety role
A NEBOSH (Construction) or equivalent qualification, as well as a Tech IOSH (or above)
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, and broader construction HSE standards
Experience with key safety areas including Permit to Work systems, work at height, asbestos management, and incident prevention/investigation
Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) and BPSS check

Please be aware that you'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC), due to the secure nature of this role. You'll need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process, and must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, having lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
