Job Description

Job Title: Health & Social Care Trainer / Assessor

Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 30 hrs per week

Job type: Fixed Term Contract 2 years

Direct Report: CEO

Start Date: September 2021

Benefits: Pension employer contribution, 28 days annual leave (pro rata)

Pathways LDN Ltd operates in partnership with the Highfields awarding body whom the postholder will work closely with. About You: You will be a skilled and experienced trainer who is comfortable creating course materials, drawing on your expertise delivering high quality health and social care training. You will be instrumental in the organisation, driving the technology strategy and providing digital skills coaching to internal and external stakeholders.

Delivery & Assessment
  • Planning bespoke Health & Social Care training sessions
  • Delivery of bespoke and pre planned training workshops face to face
  • Working with the Head of Quality and Assessment to develop training and assessment materials
  • Conducting learner initial assessments
  • Assessing learners on Health and Social Care qualifications (full training will be provided)
  • Avoid any action or behaviour which may conflict with the work and services that may bring Pathways LDN Ltd into disrepute
  • Act in accordance with all current and future policies, procedures, guidelines and relevant codes of practice, which aim to ensure the highest possible standards of professionalism, including maintaining sensitive and confidential information securely, in accordance with relevant data and protection legislation
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries of confidentiality in relation to employees, associates and any other person(s) that may be concerned with Pathways LDN Ltd business
  • Working with the Head of Quality and Assessment to develop training and assessment materials
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Maths and English
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Experience

  • Training / teaching / facilitation
  • Has experience in health and social care teaching

Knowledge

  • An understanding of adult & community/ further education sector
  • In depth and current knowledge of Health & Social Care
  • Delivering virtual training sessions
  • Delivering face to face training sessions
  • Designing course materials

Personal Qualities and Skills

  • Use own initiative with a solution focused attitude
  • Promote and work in accordance with organisational values
  • Demonstrate a knowledge, understanding and personal commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of work
  • Excellent time management with the ability to manage own training schedule
