About the RoleWe are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a Further Education college in London. You will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Health and Social Care courses, supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for careers in the sector. This is a great opportunity to inspire learners and contribute to workforce development in health and care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lessons across Health and Social Care courses (e.g., Level 1-3, T Levels)
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Support students with academic and pastoral needs to promote achievement and retention
- Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and placement providers
- Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards
- Experience teaching Health and Social Care in an FE College or similar setting
- Strong subject knowledge within the Health and Social Care sector
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Industry experience in health or social care settings
- Experience delivering T Levels or vocational qualifications
