Location: Ashington - Newcastle Type: Permanent - hybrid Salary: Up to £39,272 per annumKey Responsibilities: As an H&S Operational Trainer, you will: Design & Deliver: Create and lead health and safety training sessions that meet statutory and compliance requirements, ensuring all colleagues are equipped with the essential skills they need. Driver Training programme: Spearhead the internal driver training programme in collaboration with Fleet, Employability, and People Development teams, ensuring all drivers receive top-notch training aligned with current risk assessments. Identify Needs: Work closely with various operational business areas to pinpoint training and development needs that enhance team performance. Collaborate: Partner with the Learning & Development and H&S teams to develop effective induction programmes for new hires, promoting a culture of learning and customer excellence. analyse & Report: Prepare insightful training and H&S reports that demonstrate compliance and ROI, showcasing the impact of your training initiatives. Accountability: Take personal responsibility for delivering on commitments and driving positive change.Essential Skills & Experience: To thrive in this role, you should have: Proven experience in designing and delivering classroom-based Health & Safety training. A creative approach to training, utilising new technologies to enhance learning experiences. Strong IT and digital skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and online training platforms. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage and influence diverse audiences. A proactive, self-motivated approach with a keen attention to detail and record-keeping.Desirable Qualifications: A formal training or L&D qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CertEd, CIPD). NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent. Experience with learning management platforms and designing online eLearning courses.
