Join one of Ireland's most prominent infrastructure programmes as a Health and Safety Manager, based in Dublin. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced health, safety and wellbeing professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You'll play a vital role in driving the safety culture, ensuring robust standards, and influencing positive change across the project.
Location and Working Pattern Based in Dublin on a 12-month contract position.
Client OverviewOur client is a global engineering organisation delivering transformative infrastructure solutions. They are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing across all project activities.
Responsibilities- Oversee compliance with applicable Irish safety legislation, including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and associated regulations.
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Project Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Management System.
- Lead the configuration, testing and continuous improvement of HSW digital systems, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
- Deputise for the Project Health & Safety Manager in governance meetings and senior forums.
- Analyse performance data, identify trends and provide insight-driven recommendations.
- Manage project training and capability matrices, including supplier engagement and service-level management.
- Conduct audits and assurance activities, ensuring close-out of findings.
- Champion a psychologically safe, inclusive and collaborative culture across the project.
- Level 6 qualification or degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management.
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (or equivalent professional body).
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and best practice requirements.
- Minimum 7 years' leadership-level experience on large, complex infrastructure or construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and promote a strong safety culture.
- Proficiency with NEC frameworks and contract mechanisms.
- Experience using digital HSW platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
