Health & Safety Lead

Local authority in London requires an interim Health & Safety Lead for an initial period of 3-6 months.

Rate: £550 per day (Umbrella)

Contract: 3-6 months

Location: Hybrid (2 days in the London office, 3 days remote)

Reporting to: Head of Corporate Health & Safety

Over a 3-6 month period, the interim will be responsible for: • Establishing a clear baseline of Health & Safety maturity across the Council • Progressing priority work aligned to an ISO 45001-style management system • Strengthening visibility, consistency and engagement with services and Directorates • Designing practical, deliverable frameworks for permanent postholders • Creating a structured handover and roadmap for continued implementation.
