Health & Safety Advisor (Client Resource) - Hybrid

Location: Dublin & Surrounding Area (Hybrid) Salary: Starting from €50,000 (Depends on Experience)

About the role
  • Carry out inspections, and audits, of contractors, suppliers, Local Authorities and our client's facilities, report on findings, and check compliance with corrective and preventative actions.
  • Work closely with colleagues to bring best practice for behavioural safety to the organisation
  • Provide guidance to our client's staff, Local Authority staff, contractors, and operators in the implementation of our clients health and safety requirements.
  • Provide reports and key regional safety metrics.
  • Ensure that programs and processes are in place for efficient and effective achievement of our clients safety objectives and our client's Health and Safety -related KPIs.
  • Accident/incident review - conduct the role of Incident Liaison Officer for accidents/incidents as necessary to ensure lessons are learnt and share across the business.
  • Generate quarterly HSQE communications for distribution to contractors & Local Authority direct labour crews.
  • Set high standards, by encouraging others to embed a HSQE culture
  • Provide guidance to staff and contractors.
  • Provide support and specialist advice on HSQE matters to other business units
  • Review existing processes around communication of risk and develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Assist with on-site training.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time.
What we're looking for
  • Relevant third level qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience in Water Services delivery or a related sector e.g. utilities, construction
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in conducting site inspections and audits
  • Completion of the IOSH Coaching for safety course is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Water and Wastewater industry is an advantage
  • Strong IT experience essential, particularly the use of Microsoft Packages Excel for report generation and analysis of data
  • Previous experience in report writing and collation of information for KPI's, safety metrics, presentations etc.
  • Previous experience in working with all elements of a Safety Management System and knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, ISO 18001/45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Prioritise tasks, work with schedules and manage resources while remaining focused on main goals.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full driving license is essential and own vehicle.
  • Develop relationships to accomplish team goals.
