Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters.
  • Deliver health and safety training and induction programs.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending preventative actions.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary reports and documentation are maintained.
  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within the construction, mechanical, or drainage industry.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels.
  • Ability to conduct detailed risk assessments and audits.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and promoting a safety culture.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Valid UK driving license to visit various sites as necessary.
