Health Advisory Consultant (Assets and Partnerships)
Location:
London or Birmingham (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Salary: £40,000 - £56,000 (base salary)

Role Summary
Sentinel is working with a leading multidisciplinary advisory consultancy to appoint a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join its expanding Healthcare Advisory team.

This role focuses on supporting healthcare providers to plan and deliver future-ready healthcare facilities and integrated care hubs. You will contribute to the development of NHS business cases, healthcare planning strategies and capital project advisory services across primary and secondary care environments.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established specialist team delivering strategic advice on estate strategies, capital investment and service transformation. You will work as part of a collaborative team, gaining increasing autonomy and exposure to complex healthcare infrastructure projects as your experience develops.

Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and coordination of NHS business cases, including primary care schemes
  • Contribute to healthcare planning projects including activity and capacity modelling
  • Assist in the development of strategies for integrated healthcare hub projects
  • Support estate strategy development across a range of healthcare organisations
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, options appraisals and capital project planning
  • Assist with operational readiness and commissioning planning
  • Provide technical advisory support across a range of healthcare capital programmes
  • Research, analyse and present data clearly in written reports, presentations and workshops
  • Contribute to tender submissions and presentation materials
  • Engage in internal and external networking to support business growth
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across advisory, planning and project delivery services

Skills & Experience
  • Experience within the UK healthcare sector, ideally gained in a professional services consultancy
  • Demonstrable involvement in NHS business case development (primary care experience desirable)
  • Understanding of healthcare planning and integrated care infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of NHS capital funding processes, policy and key stakeholders
  • Experience supporting feasibility studies, estate strategies or capital project delivery
  • Strong analytical capability with confidence working with data and spreadsheets
  • Ability to prepare clear, structured reports and present findings effectively
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of consultancy delivery environments
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops or contributing to stakeholder meetings
  • Degree qualified (essential); relevant professional certifications desirable (eg PRINCE2, MSP, APMP, Better Business Cases or similar)
  • Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and within a team
